Yeh first morning was 50k winds and -20 with windchill. Day 2 still had snow but warming up, Was around freezing on Wednesday and last 2 days was warm and sunny.
I'll take -20 over +20 any time if I'm deer hunting.

I have to agree with that. There's something synonymous about cold snowy days during the deer hunt. I've frozen my patooties many times over the years sitting on a watch. T-shirt and bugs just doesn't seem right?

I can remember hunting the first week in shirt sleeves and the second week 12" of snow and - 15 F...That was a shock to the system...

I do love a good tracking snow but my fingers sure like the warmer temperatures we have had the past number of years

Last Fall 2020 Rifle hunt was all over the map. Monday morning (Nov 02, 2020) was -8 with 10 cm of fresh snow at first light. Warmed up to 0 that day. Next day hovered between 0 and 5 all day. Next day was 12, Thursday, Friday and Saturday were 18. This was in 82a.
This was taken at +/- 10 am opening morning 2020:

Taken 2 days later on the Wednesday afternoon:

It snowed the Sunday before gun season in 82a. A lot of the snow was gone by Monday afternoon and then it was a reasonable temperature for the rest of the week. By muzzleloader season we where on snowshoes in one area I hunt. There is a reason I own a blaze orange t-shirt. There have been some rifle hunts that I’ve broken into a sweat while dogging over the years. I have my fingers crossed for a blast of cold last week of October, but I’m doubtful!

Deer hunting with a gun in a t-shirt anyone? LOL
Not to mention sunrise will be around 8am
And sunset at 6pm because the time won't be changing until nov 7th.

LOL yes the bugs I can deff live without haha. I enjoy the mild weather. I seen alot of deer last year actually.
I went out for turkey the other day in very thick fog. Couldn't see the other side of the field. Took a walk across cause I thought I seen a turkey or 2 ended up being a bush. Walked back to the other side of the field turned around to see a doe charging through the fog at me LOL stopped right when it got outside the fog and stared at me for a couple minutes.
