Default Hows are the turkeys looking ?

Will be going up this morning, wondering if anyone's been seeing any birds around? I seen a few right before season opened. Went 2 weeks ago didnt see anything. Anyone going for fall turkey this year?

I don't hunt turkeys in the fall but I see them in the soybean fields when going to work. Now that they're being cut, the turkeys are much easier to spot.

Tons up my way. Harder to call in during the fall in my experience. More food motivated but cannot bait them obviously, and they are also much more quiet. Seen 4 hens walk by my stand last week but were too far out of bow range.

    Lots of turkeys
There’s a group of 5 toms. One is always attacking the others for bugs he’s my target
Tuesday I went out seen the 5 turkeys thought I can cut through the bush and get ahead of them by couple hundred yards
Just stepped into bush and there he was monster 10 point with 5 does what a rush. Course they take off so decided not to push them go back out

Yesterday afternoon went sat mosquitos where awful I could only sit 20 minutes I had better things to do than donating blood

    Just too warm

as expected, we keep running into turkeys while scouting for deer ... and the WMU doesnt have a fall season.
if it gets colder this weekend, I might visit some areas for turkey, but not with so many bugs out and heat, I dont even know what to wear hunting anymore lol

    Haha fair enough!

    Here's my predicament!

We are hunting turkey today. Took a seat in the bush and all I hear is 100s of geese. No turkeys as of right now. On another note i pulled my cams today. My main spot that was full of deer last year I haven't gotten a single deer picture in about 3 weeks now. Very weird. Seems like my salt block is only attracting cyotes and racoon. NO GOOD!

I pulled my second camera which is a much farther walk but closer to the swamp and I got deer pics almost everyday. Will be making another post when I get home with some pics.

Also got a video of 2 young boys sparring!

And a buck that ill be naming antelope. Here's a sneak peek

    Update.

Seen 1 lone turkey a far ways out middle of the field. Tried to catch up with it but it was long gone in the bush by the time I made my way over there.

    Oh well maybe next week.

Turkeys are in trouble by Burnt River and Fenelon Falls. Quite a few with bad avian pox and it's killing the birds. My friend just sent me a video of another hen at his house with her head so badly crusted she can't see. He could walk to within 10 feet of her. Coyotes will probably have her within the week.
