Savage Model 42 takedown update
I was asked to provide an update when I recieved the rifle back.
But to sum it up, at only 10 yards, the top .22 wmr was hitting 3" to the left and the bottom .410 barrel was hitting 5" to the right.
I dropped off the rifle directly at their lakefield ON facility Oct 1st and they gave me a new one today, 3 weeks later. There was residue in both barrels and both barrels are hitting dead center, so it seems that they zeroed in the rear sight before sending it to me.
Now I have a rifle I can actually use...

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Thanks everyone! My bushnell just came in today as well. Perfect timing. Hopefully it works this time.
