ESP Ear Plugs

Anyone using ESP ear plugs?
If yes, which model and how do you like them?

I know they are crazy expensive but I think they will save my hearing. I always bring ear plugs duck and goose hunting but they always get taken out and left out so I can hear everyone talk.

I have a pair of electronic ear muffs and like them a lot. They were on sale for well less than $100. Conversations are fine (unless your partners don't have them) and they do a good job of cutting the decibels (How much, I don't know). The volume can be turned up to where I feel like The Six Million Dollar Man. The one concern I had was battery life (mine run on 6, maybe 4 AAA batteries) but I figured the muff would still work even if the batteries died and so far I haven't had a battery issue.

Always wear the electronic muffs. Had them on sale at tsc in the spring for 59$. Our whole goose group wears them now. No more ringing.

Yea the Walker's work well on the range and keep your hearing safe for under $100..

The amplified sound aspect not so great, they have a 'hiss' background white noise that is annoying when you're wearing them hunting. I tried them a few times and didn't like it. May be ESP solve that problem..but at $1K...not going to happen

I have a pair from a company called Sound Gear. They are made by a company big in the hearing aid business in the US. I think they have a "Pheasants Forever" promo price in the fall. I got $250 off with the promo when I got mine 2 years ago. They take size 13 hearing aid batteries, about $14 for 48 at Costco. I think they have dealer in Buffalo. You need to go to an audiologist to get the molds of your ear canal made and forwarded to the company for a custom fit. I had the molds done locally and shipped them down myself.
They are expensive, but they work well and are a lot less than the ESP product.

I never realized guys were willing to pay even close to that kind of money for ear protection....I thought $60 (on sale) for a pair of Walker's was steep..HaHa...

I used to wear the standard issue military ear plugs on some of the most intense range practices on the planet. Standing 3' from 105 Leopard Tank and 109 Howitzers all day and they worked great, no hearing loss after 25 yrs.

I know one thing for sure, wear some sort of hearing protection. If you get tinnitus, ringing, hissing, or whatever sound as you get older in the ears, it can literally push you over the cliff or whatever manner you want to exit from this planet.

For upland and waterfowl I'm using 3M/Peltor EEP-100 which can be found in the $300 range. I used them earlier this month on a private pheasant reserve that features lots of shooting and very high bird counts. Comfortable, good sound but kept the loud noises out.
