    Thumbup Pigeon hunting.

    Good day hunter lads!

New to pigeon hunting, i think they are also referred as Rock doves?

Im in Ottawa, willing to do 1h to 2h drive out the city for some pigeon hunt, i am having a bit difficulties in finding about where to go.
Would i be able to get some directions or links from anybody who's more educated than i am?
I would much appreciate it fellas .

I think your best bet is to drive around and look for farm fields that have been freshly cut. Pigeons will go after the grain that wasn’t picked up. Also look for silos or barn roofs covered with pigeons. knock on some of those farmers doors and ask permission. Good luck.

Getting harder to find a good pigeon hunt. Cleaner farming practices has all but eliminated pigeons. Now a days if they are not poisened their someones pets. Drive around farm country look for old barns on sunny days you 'll be able to see them roosted on top.

Someone owns it, start at the closest farm house and work out from there.
