Does anyone tan their deer hide ? do they make a nice rug/wall piece ?

finally got my first deer, and brought the hide back too, dunno if its worth all the trouble to tan it though ?! hate to not use it.

i also had daniel from the herdsthrone do a bison hide for me this year. cost was about as much as a new gun but it was a keepsake for me so worth it.

I've tried it before without success - partially because I was working too much at that time and didn't have the time to take care of it every day like you need to.
I will have to try the power wash method! That will save hours and hours.
