    Default Opening Day

Opening day the weather was perfect in the morning.
We started a run and almost immediately had deer on the run by all the tracks we had.
The deer almost made it to the sitters but turned around and crossed the creek.
We gave them about an hour to settle down and we drove around to the other side of the creek and started another run.
The deer made to the sitters and the shooting started so the 3 doggers made it to the top of the ridges and waited as usually the backs turn around and head back and they did one to me and one to my buddy.
He shot first then about a minute later I could see a deer running on the ridge between us and made directly to my left and I realized it was a buck took the shot and down he went. After shot my buddy gets on the radio and says he downed an 11 Pointer and I responded I got a 9 pointer. the rest of the group missed 2 more bucks and 2 does.
the rest of the week was rain and snow on and offIMG_6955.jpgIMG_6964.jpg

Nice shooting! Hitting a deer on the run is never simple.
