EBR: Simplify and align provincial white-tailed deer hunting seasons

rick, sort of spells it out for 93, I would think that you would be able to bow hunt with out a control tag in the shotgun season as long as you wear orange. I'm on the fence to let bow hunters and rifle or shotgun hunters mix in the same area and times. i'm a ground bow hunter and sitting in a spot not moving, wearing the required orange on the front and back, a gunner off to the side and a deer runs by, will gunner see the bow hunter?

Except that the purpose of a controlled hunt, is to control hunter numbers. Allowing bow hunters, would actually entail changing the deer seasons to allow bow hunters to continue hunting during the controlled season. It seems to defeat the purpose of controlling of hunter numbers. I’m guessing the seasons will remain the same, just let controlled hunters use a bow or gun…time will tell.

totally agree with you - we were just talking about this in another thread recently!!

It will depend where you hunt, if it is a controlled area, then I do ot see it affecting anything, unless they allow you to hunt dual seasons, one with gun one with bow,
Adding bows to 85, for example wont change a thing if you hunt one season already with a shotgun as you would not be eligible to hunt a second season as your only allowed one
