per CBC SIU didn't even request an interview with the shooter 2 weeks after the 'incident'
Are they giving everyone the time to get their stories coherent..? WTF

So a single old man, sitting with a customer in his tiny home-shop, could not be apprehended without lethal force by a large team of law enforcement professionals that came fully prepared & in advance, with intelligence & on-site recon, for exactly this task??
Sorry... this smells heavy like either criminal incompetence, or a set-up. Hence the poor feedback from SIU

Thank goodness we do not have trial by media we would all be in a lot of trouble. How about we let these investigators get on with their jobs, there will be judicial oversight for sure in this case and the facts and witnesses accounts will all come out in due process.

As tax paying firearms owner we have the right to know what is going on.
The Toronto police have not done much in the last few years to make gun owners want to trust them very much.

We have a right to know what went on but not necessarily when we want to know it. The investigators will do their work and report but not right away. In the meantime, aimless speculation driven by rampant paranoia and hatred of police will continue unabated.

So police drive 2 hours outside their jurisdiction, with their own ambulance in tow, supposedly with a search warrant which was not shown or left at the site of the "search" and this writ still has not seen the light of day. The local police that patrol the area were supposedly contacted 2 minutes before the innocent victim is shot 4 times in the neck and chest while his wife is held at gunpoint by other police in the front yard with groceries in hand. A supposed witness was involved in the shop, or maybe he was an undercover cop from some reports, but he is not talking or not allowed to talk. Have I missed something, is there not a huge stink coming from this pile of information or lack thereof??
Something really smells here and if this was a person of color or indigenous, there would be trains blocked and buildings burning, as well as our PM on site offering condolences.

Not condoning or condemning until the investigation is complete. Not jumping to conclusions that these events were "murder," an "execution" or in your own words an "assassination." There are many serious questions that are unanswered but instead of knee jerk reactions I'll wait until the investigation is complete.

So your fencing sitting..waffling in the wind ..might as well log off this thread.

If you're going to quote me...at least get it right. my post: "Sounds like he was assassinated."

Nothing wrong with 'speculating', makes for good discussion/debate.
