Never saw the list but why would it not be high on the list.

Its been used as a wedge issue for votes now in Canada for at least the past 20 years. Successfully by Stephen Harper for several elections and now successfully by Justin Trudeau for several elections.

The vast majority of hunters still have the firearms they had 40 years ago, I know I have all mine.

I guess if I were a Conservative voter I would be focusing my mind on

Can we pick a leader who will be palatable to the Canadian voting public.

Will that leader stick to his guns [SO TO SPEAK] and not flip flop around.

Can we his supporters resist stabbing that leader of our party in the back as soon a things go astray.

As we have witnesses with Erin and Jason, the knives were out right away, Erin just sacked a female member for speaking up.

None of this instills confidence in the Canadian voting public and until they get their own house in order, they will be relegated to the back of the bus, with the Justin driving the bus and Jagmeet the relief driver. We might throw in the Bloc here also as they are about to support a few
    upcoming measures.

Don't forget that 12 ga. shotguns and .22rimfires are still on the chopping block. AFAIK,they've never officially been removed from the OIC.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

I am sure they will get to them eventually but there are bigger fish to fry.

The 12 ga. rumour has been repeatedly debunked and is nonsense.

Update on 10 and 12 gauge shotgun classification under the new prohibition
On May 1st, 2020, the Government of Canada announced that it had made amendments to the Regulations Prescribing Certain Firearms and Other Weapons, Components and Parts of Weapons, Accessories, Cartridge Magazines, Ammunition and Projectiles as Prohibited, Restricted or Non-Restricted (SOR/98-462) [Classification Regulations] prescribing certain firearms as prohibited. One of the categories of the newly prohibited firearms include "Any firearm with a bore diameter of 20 mm or greater" (s. 95 of the Classification Regulations).

The Canadian Firearms Program (CFP) of the RCMP adheres to the Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners' (AFTE) definition for bore diameter measurements. "The interior dimensions of the barrel forward of the chamber but before the choke." (Glossary of the Association of Firearm & Tool Mark Examiners by the AFTE Standardization Committee, 1st Ed. 1980). This is reflected in the RCMP's Firearms Reference Table (FRT) which clearly states that "...in shotguns, diameter of the barrel forward of the chamber but before the choke." The CFP also recognizes the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute (SAAMI) standards regarding firearms and ammunition. The SAAMI chamber specifications for 10ga and 12ga shotguns do not include chokes therefore indicating that chokes are not part of the bore. Accordingly, it is the CFP's view that, in accordance with acceptable firearms industry standards for shotguns, the bore diameter measurement is considered to be at a point after the chamber, but before the choke.

Further, in making classification assessments of firearms which are reflected in the FRT, the CFP relies on recognized industry standard measurements. With respect to 10ga and 12ga shotguns, the CFP recognizes the SAAMI standard specifications which establish that the nominal (i.e. standard) bore diameter measurements for 10ga and 12ga shotguns are below the 20mm threshold (19.69mm for 10ga, 18.42mm for 12ga).

So what have we done over the past 20 years to solve the issues we still face Today?

I found some old news papers and Georgina posted in 1990 it was stepping up the fight to end racism. Where are we today 30 years later?

Crazy all this time spent and nothing has changed.

When politics are involved all parties say what the public wants to hear and once the election is over they back peddle and you never hear another word about it.... I don't know of any politician that has the gonads to stick to his or the parties political views or promises...

I know one Bo D, his name is Justine TRUDEAU, he had in his election platform a promise of gun control and sure enough delivered. Had everybody and their uncle do their upmost to use it as a way to get themselves into power. The folks out west, upset over pipe line issues were more than happy to vote against him and threw their lot in with the pro gun crowd.

But Justine persevered and took it to the ballot box and guess what he won. Again.

Now on the other hand we had another guy who told his own base he would fight such gun control and managed a flip flop right before the election, so I don't know what you would call such a person.

Jason Kenney he is now also getting the knife stuck in his back by members of the Divided Conservative Party.

G, don't post that trash, JT lost the election, if you call a minority government a win then be at it partner... Exactly where is the gun control that he promised. He's done squat about taking the eligal guns off the street...

If you can find me a politician or a party that will do what he or they promise they'll get my vote...

As much as you idolize the village idiot, one would think you would be able to spell his name correctly……but then again,”Justine” is appropriate !!
