Narrow crossbow cover
Looking for ideas. Need lightweight cover to comply with “encased” rules for narrow limb crossbow. All soft cases I see on line are too bulky to have in the stand.
something akin to a gun sock
any ideas?

Sewing machine and an old T-Shirt works great......even modified pillow case works...all sorts of compliant workarounds.

Do what I have done.
If you know someone who sews, go to a fabric store, buy some camo cloth, and have them sew you a custom case to fit your crossbow. Have them sew a foldover at the top to run a drawstring cord thru, just like a gun sock.
Get some duck decoy cord or bungee cord, and use it as a drawstring to close the case, and you have a lightweight case that meets the legal requirements of “encased on all 6 sides”.

I jUst took an old shower curtain and folded it over, cut to width and sewed the edge. Quiet, water resistant and light. I use a piece of cord to tie off the bottom. All kinds of ways to skin that cat, as mentioned above!

For a quick fix they sell some camo pillow cases on Amazon. Just make sure it fit's your dimensions.

How narrow are you talking . I shoot a ravin and was thinking of just a camo pillow case with a draw string to close it until I’m out to my truck where I put it in the case D9435F0E-1904-4ACB-8E1E-6AE5232E770F.jpg

I bought an exocet in the early 2000s that came with a padded crossbow case. I asked the guy, why such a heavy quilted case. He showed me how it folded up to turn into a padded pillow for sitting on the stand. On the way out or in its a legal case for the bow. Not sure why Excalibur ever abandoned this quilted case. Can't find them anywhere anymore.
