Default I Get a Kick Out of This - Follow up

Was just looking at JoePa's "I get a kick out of this" thread and see it is locked for now. No problem, if those are the rules of the forum or decisions of the mods so be it.

Something that is important to note.

Joe brought up a completely valid point and instead of any actual arguments from the more left leaning types to define/defend their position, they just immediately launch into character assault. This is a typical leftist debate tactic so par for the course I suppose, but the onus should be on them to articulate a coherent counter argument.

The main objection of the original post (and the subtext of the thread) is very simple: trans people competing against others in sports a bad thing, and we have gone too far down the wrong path. If some believe it is in fact a sign of a progressive and healthy society, they should state why.

I'm sure most sensible folks will agree that Brutus the big bearded weight lifter dominating the women's category is not fair to the women who've trained hard for years to achieve their dream...only to be severely defeated by a male. Or female UFC fighters getting their heads smashed in by men who believe themselves to be women. Our the latest example with the trans swimmer Lia Thomas breaking women's swimming records. The sting of losing is worsened by playing a rigged game, and the twist of the knife that follows the loser, who has to then praise their competitor as stunning and brave while being complicit in a lie.

It's pretty cruel how progressives sacrifice objective truth on the hollow alter of 'acceptance' or 'tolerance'. Taken to ridiculous excess, these things are no longer virtues. Especially when they harm women or get them killed.

This should not be a controversial or verboten topic in any sense. If we can't discuss basic truths like these, what hope to we have as a society to preserve anything of value? Not least of which being common sense and decency. And if the thread eventually gets deleted or remains locked, that further proves the point: that these people are in no way 'oppressed' when private companies, academia, big tech and big gov all rush to their aid and silence those who dare stray from narrative.

    My 2 cents.

To all those pushing transgender rights, hope you feel proud sending grown men dressed like women into female restrooms , change/shower rooms, with your minor aged daughters...

So you are OK with a Lesbian checking out your minor aged daughters? Thats the problem with prejudice based on fear. What lies in the heart and mind of people cannot be judge on their outward appearance but how they carry themselves.

I'm OK with females using female facilities and male using male facilities. If you think it's OK for grown men to use female facilities based on how they dress that day, well IMHO you are part of the problem not the solution
It's not at all based on fear and prejudice. Just the same men dressed like women competing in female sports is about as unfair and pathetic as it gets.

Sadly people pushing an advocating for transgender rights don't consider the problems they're creating.
A friend canceled his teenage daughters gym membership when as member he was informed in writing his gym now allows members who identify as female use female facilities.

Just to be fair and consistent-it is maybe time to close this thread, following the same reasoning ,as for the previous "parent" thread as well.

Sorry guys-nothing against the thread or anyone one's post ,but if there "was" ever a reason to close the parent thread, this one is no different.

Sadly people not advocating for transgender rights don't consider the problems they're perpetuating.
As a Male I know how I'd feel if I had to use facilities with a bunch of females.
I can empathize with Transgendered forced to use facilities not congruent with the own identity.
If that offends you that's a you problem not a society problem.

Why stop open discussion in the Off topic section of forum? Controversy hits most threads on forum, religion has not even been mentioned. Why shutdown a thread just because one party cant agree on the subject?...
