My girl will be 2 in a week and I have been looking for an answer off and on since I brought her home. From my research all on the internet, she is a Dudley. What I can't find is why the name Dudley? Just seems to be a strange name. Here as some pictures. Funny on the net they say that they are a premium, but in my case no one wanted her. She was the last of 8 litter mates to go, which was good for me as she is a lovely dog. Her mother is a fox red and the father is a yellow.

It's called a dudley because of the pigment color of her nose and color around hers eyes is pink, where it should be brown or black, its an undesirable trait, that happens, it means nothing other than that

overtheir, you could not be more correct and she certainly knows how to use her noise. She has tracked down my last 3 day and just started to squirrel hunt with me and retrieve them, i was just curious as to why dudley. I'm asked about her colours or lack of all the time and I just say she is a dudley so missing the black trim, noise and pads.

That's all it is, it has nothing to do with performance, it's a mutation, which possibly was passed down through the fox red, which is also a mutation
