Yes because of "a" positive case...

A school in Arnprior shut down early for at least the holiday season due to a positive case of COVID-19.

St. Joseph’s Catholic School had an email sent by health officials Wednesday evening, Dec. 15, notifying students and staff that someone tested positive. A couple of hours later a second notice said the school won’t open Thursday or Friday. The Christmas break begins the next week.

Not sure yet how to express that in per-capita format...

So what does that matter when there is only 1 person in the ICU.?

Is he the .25 of 1000 (vax) or .75 of 1000 (unvax) per capita HaHa...

Here figure this out....

Using these numbers express it in per capita format:

1536 infections.
809 fully vaxxed + 33 partial vaxxed = 842 or 55%
601 unvaxxed = 40%.

Unvaxxed are a mere 20% of the population but make up 40% of the new cases, 65% of non-ICU hospital admissions and make up 72% of ICU cases. The make up twice the percentage of new cases than their numbers even though they are strictly limited in their activities.

Peterborough Medical Officer of Health Dr. Piggott has imposed new restrictions on restaurants and food service venues:

- Face masks mandatory while patrons not eating or drinking, even if seated at a table
- Standing while having a coffee banned
- Servers must wear eye protection

The Letter falsely claims that as "of December 13th, a majority of cases of COVID-19 are caused by the omicron variant of concern", when Public Health Ontario reports that 15 cases were identified as Omicron vs. 236 cases of Delta (though most cases have no variant reported).

Stoke fear of new variant. Impose unfair and irrational (but highly visible) restrictions on only some industries. Claim that restrictions will relent only after more vaccines are distributed. This is the exact same playbook that the Public Health Crowd used last winter to great fanfare and which still couldn't contain a seasonal coronavirus.

If this was the private sector, these MOHs would not get a second chance to achieve their brass ring of failure.

It has offered greater protection against infection than not being vaccinated. 20% of the population make up 40% of the new cases even though the unvaccinated are prohibited from a wide range of public places. The vaccine has offered significantly greater protection against hospitalizations and ICU admissions compared to anti-vaxxers.

Also about or 20% of the population over 50 is not vaccinated. Wasn't the average age of the hospitalized over 50?

Only 90 percent between 50 and 59 are fully vaccinated that leaves room for again misleading numbers.

On CTVtoronto news it was reported that 81% of all Ontarians are now considered fully vaxed. In the very next report on Covid-19 infections,they report that testing has shown over 2K new cases across the province and that fully half are fully vaxed. So,WTF is it? Does vaxing work or not? Where are all these new cases coming from? Are they Delta or Omicron? What demographic is being reported? Why is less than half the data being reported with the "spin" constantly revolving (as opposed to evolving)? Another editorial with PostMedia says that it's time for Canadians to wise up,stand up and just say "NO". Enough,already.
It's also really funny that there's a built in anagram: Omicron-Moronic.

Your right...I was listening to a panel discussion on that and in laymen's terms, it's much like when your body goes into Anaphylactic shock after your 3rd bee
sting.

So at this point if a layman can piece this together people might want to ask themselves why are our Public Health Officials pushing so hard for this booster?
