Pleasure Craft Licence Renewal
Well if there aren't enough hoops and loops in life to jump through, here's another. Took a look earlier today, aha, PCL is expiring in Feb 22. Go to the website for renewal, name, rank, service number, shoe size, etc. Now they want a picture of an acceptable gov't issued id and a full side picture of the boat along with hull number and hull compliance tag number.

I did mine last year. Very easy process, and no cost. I’m good for another 10 years….

Well, you're operating the vessel on public waterways, why wouldn't you need proper documentation?

When I got mine it did not have an expiry date. However the card is now worn out and you cannot read anything on it. Looks blank.
I was talking to a CO this summer in Espanola and he doesn't even ask for it. He said he just checks for fish and safety equipment.

Ok now you got me curious. Checked my card says issued 2003/04/23 no expiry date though. Do they expire?

Not the Operators Card, the boat licence with the numbers. They now have a 10 year expiration.
