First fish on the season.
Helped a buddy put out his hut in Temagami today.
8-9 inches of solid ice where we were. But it's not that good everywhere in the area.
We fished a little in the early afternoon with nothing caught.
Went out again about 3:30 and fished until a little after sunset.
Just as we were about to pull in the lines I got a light hit.
Set the hook and landed it.
About a 10" walleye. Released it.
But it's a start for the new season.

Nice. Better than an old skunk!
Little to no snow here and the mercury is dipping. If I can, I will take one day next week to get the kids out after some specks.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?
