    Default Nipissing walleye slot limit?

Just seen the new slot limit in the 2022 Regs.
    Walleye - S-2 and C-1; must be between40-45 cm
    40-45 cm's?
    That's one small slot.
It's going to hurt operators there.

It's a tight slot for sure but I actually think it will help the operators. Last bunch of years the reg has been 2 over 46cm. Last year i landed 100+ walleye on Nip - only 3 over 46cm. If i applied the new slot to last years catch i would had +/- 15 keepers versus 3 with old slot. Most guys i have spoke to are looking forward to actually catching some keepers this season versus past years when they were very elusive.

The wilderness is not a stadium where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, it is the cathedral where I worship.

Agreed, it is a very tight slot (15.75" - 17.5") over the past few years have caught tons that are just under the min size of 18.1" (15 - 18"), so this will be a nice change.

I think the size is a good thing. Last year most of the fish would have been in the slot. Can't wait for this year's trip.
