    Default Deer Dropping Antlers already?

Got a picture of what was a 10 point that only has one antler now. I didn't get any other shots of him so I can't tell if it was broken or shed. TC

One of my son's buddies had a Deer walk under his stand he thought was a huge doe until he saw the raw nubs where his antlers used to be,so,it's quite possible yours is an early drop. It's too bad because he didn't have an anterless tag.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

I read that they fall off if buck has expelled all his energy During rut. It’s a way of preserving its life. Now big does are more powerful till next year

I’ve had a couple on camera in the past that had shed one side during the last week or so of Dec. I’d call it rare but definitely can happen.

My buddy shot a buck last night with 1 antler. The second antler came off dragging it out. Big buck too, 6 points on the one side. Jes put looking today for the other side it's very fresh shed going by the blood on it's head.

A few years back I saw a buck the end of March with a huge rack walking along our fence in the conservation area, kids said he looked like a moose. I got curious and looked at one of the live cams and I see some nice racks still on and there is one that has dropped his rack a bit before sunrise so it is possible. The big bucks come in at night mostly so go back and check them out.

Last year a beautiful 4.5 year old who'd been on my radar for a couple years dropped his antlers by Christmas. Unfortunately, I don't think he made it thru that winter. Never seen him again
