Interesting stat this morning:
With Sunday's updates, Canada has now reported 2,000,150 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. A total of 30,159 Canadians have died from the illness.
That translates; ...of all the known positive cases in Canada, only 1.5% died. Either it's remarkable to how good our health care system is or proof that the lethality of this virus is far less than we have been led to believe.
note: 2 million positive cases is only 5% of the population.

Just to compare to the USA, 52,283,000 cases, 816,610 deaths, which is 1.56% fatality
with 15.8% of the population contracting covid.
So 3 times as much of the population caught covid, but fatality rate remains almost identical.
I have a feeling that percentage of cases is going to skyrocket in both countries, but hopefully the fatality percentage will go down with Omicron.

The number of deaths counted isn't accurate, they are deaths with covid not of covid.

Good news....as was stated earlier, Omicron spreading thru the population is a good thing. It's proving a better 'booster' than another shot of the vaccine.
People who have recovered from an infection with the new omicron coronavirus variant may be able to fend off later infections from the delta variant, according to a new laboratory study carried out by South African scientists.
If further experiments confirm these findings, they could suggest a less dire future for the pandemic. In the short term, omicron is expected to create a surge of cases that will put a massive strain on economies and health care systems around the world. But in the longer term, the new research suggests that an omicron-dominated world might experience fewer hospitalizations and deaths than one in which delta continues to rage.
“
Omicron is likely to push delta out,” said Alex Sigal, a virus expert at the Africa Health Research Institute in Durban, South Africa, who led the new study. “Maybe pushing delta out is actually a good thing, and we’re looking at something we can live with more easily and that will disrupt us less than the previous variants.”
As omicron races through country after country, Sigal speculated that it would leave people with immunity not just to itself, but to delta as well. That would mean that people who get infected with delta will have fewer opportunities to pass on the virus to others. At the same time, omicron will readily infect people who have recovered from delta. That competitive edge could spell doom for delta.

The Xmas holiday numbers are now out. No real change in the Hospitalization numbers, even though the case numbers are high,
The ministry says there are currently 965 people with the virus in Ontario hospitals and 200 of those patients are in intensive care units.
Of the COVID-19 patients in the hospital, excluding those in ICU, 182 (24%) are unvaccinated, 24 (3%) are partially vaccinated and 399 (52%) are fully vaccinated.

It's satisfying to know we've been right along and the reason why we've questioned what their motive has always been to inflate numbers. It provided them with the ability to instill 'fear' to better their chances of social engineering the population.
And it worked, only now are some starting to realize they have been hood winked..HaHa.

Good morning fellas, hope everyone had a great Christmas break.
Yes it's interesting to see the narrative changing before our eyes, with leaders admitting what us silly conspiracy nuts have been saying all along
- Cloth masks are useless
- There are no federal solutions
- We shouldn't focus on the case numbers
- The 'covid death' numbers were grossly inflated
- Vaccines don't prevent infection and vax passports aren't helping
Meanwhile, Quebec is starting another curfew and banning private gatherings today...because it worked so well the last time.

On the subject of Quebec, stay tuned for riot squad interventions this evening IMHO.
The population is not exactly on board with the governments decision....

To me,it looks much simpler than instilling fear. I think we should start to follow the money (funding).
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
