For moose hunting in Quebec you have to hunt with outfitter

We stayed at Pavillion Richer in 2014 and never had any luck but did see a lot of moose in vehicles heading out while we were heading in. It looked like a well run place but we were in a outpost cabin about a 45 minute ATV ride from the main lodge and it was awful, no running water, no insulation, lots of mice and a stove pipe with rust holes in it. The fishing at the lodge was great and so were the owners but I could care less to ever see that shack again, the area we were in had been well hunted before us and we only saw a cow track one day on the road and because you can only hunt your area we couldn't spread out to scout for other opportunities. The dirt road from the highway to the lodge was 130 KM on a road covered in washboard and even though we took it easy we broke a leaf spring on the trailer on the way out adding to the misfortune. I would go back but only after getting some more details on accommodations and road conditions first.

I have similar feeling as You Waltman.
If the outfitter offers an area, and has 3 weeks to hunt it,the first week has reasonable chance, the second maybe.
Yet again,if the area is heavily hunted years in a row............chancy.
I wish they did not introduced this mandatory outfitter rule-life was good before that.
Yo picked a ZEC or zone of your choice-and you were free to go.
