If you don't feel comfortable shopping for vitamins then by all means get a doctor to recommend them to you....rotflmao

Better advice would be to talk with your Pharmacists, they are far more educating on Vitamine usages and interactions, etc.

That’s for certain ! I know of family members that went to get new prescriptions filled, and the pharmacist caught the fact it was a wrong medication….

Here is a scientific and in-depth study looking at another reason why there is a depletion of vitamin D this time of year and the relation it has with seasonal influenza. Bottom line is that the sun is not as strong, your covered in clothing head to toe and spend most of the time indoors.

"To determine the factor triggering the sudden surge of daily new COVID-19 cases arising in most European countries during the autumn of 2020. The dates of the surge were determined using a fitting of the two last months of reported daily new cases in 18 European countries with latitude ranging from 39° to 62°. The study proves no correlation between the country surge date and the 2 weeks preceding temperature or humidity but shows an impressive linear correlation with latitude. The country surge date corresponds to the time when its sun UV daily dose drops below ≈ 34% of that of 0° latitude."

I agree shouldn't get personal but then again I'm from the uninformed, stupid, sheeple clan that shouldn't comment.

Be careful how much D you take. After having a slip injury that hyperextended my heel, I suffered for two years being basically crippled, walking around with crutches and a foam boot. X rays showed calcific tendonitis in my achilles where it inserts into your heel. Top ortho surgeons couldn't determine what had caused it based on the low level injury that I had received. Turns out it was due to the interaction between vitamin C and D supplements that I was taking. My blood work came back showing I was severly low in D, so my doctor got me to take 4000mg per day. I also took 1000mg of C per day. Both vitamins work together for regulation of calcium in your body, Turns out my levels were too high and I was getting calcium deposition in my tendon. Went to 2000 of D and a multivitamin. It took about 3 months then I could walk again. Fully recovered now. Another important fact that I learned - sunscreen application prevents your body from synthesizing D from sun exposure. I wear 60 block on my face , back of hands on a daily basis now after having solar keratosis burned off of me from being stupid in my youth. Doctor said I have to now rely on supps and diet to get adequate D.

Great information and advice in your post. Did you know that windows block the beneficial UVB rays that is required to make vitamin D.
Sitting in a chair indoors bathed in sunlight does nothing for you.
