It's a "me" world we live in. A sad reality of the times.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

This is horrible but this is hardly new, luckily enough someone found the baby.

There have been safe-haven or "Baby Moses Laws" on the books in the US since 1999.

I think I saw on TV that those who are, unfortunately, choosing to get rid of an unwanted child can drop them off at Fire Halls in the US.

Not sure if the safe haven law is us-wide. I was only aware of it being in Texas.

    Learned something new....

Currently, all 50 states have safe haven laws on the books, varying between the age limit, persons who may surrender a child, and circumstances required to relinquish an infant child. In most cases, parents can leave newborns in safe locations without having to disclose their identity or without being asked questions.

To that end, approximately 16 States and Puerto Rico require parents to relinquish their infants only to a hospital, emergency medical services provider, or healthcare facility. In 27 States, fire stations also are designated as safe haven providers. Personnel at police stations or other law enforcement agencies may accept infants in
    25 States.

Did not know about the safe heaven law-makes perfect sense.

At the other hand-leaving a child in a dumpster equals to attempted murder.

She should swing from the gallows for doing such a heinous act, especially when the are proper channels she could have used for giving up her child. What a poor excuse for a human being throwing a defenseless child in a dumpster.

Well I will tell you something - things like this happen because millions of babies are killed in abortion clinics many on the verge of being born (partial birth abortion) and society has allow this to happen so when a mother doesn't want the baby it isn't much of a jump from what is being done legally to what is done illegality - this is just one of the areas where society has stepped down into an evil gutter -

As Fox said, it is unfortunately not new, but what a disgusting excuse for a human, she should hang
