    Default 4th dose

Well the 4th shot is already in place and going out in long term care patients.

When will the 3rd not be enough for the general public places are already mandating a 3rd to be considered fully vaccinated.

This doctor says the science isn't there if the vaccine wanes 2 months from omicron they would need a shot every month to be fully protected.

The next variant issued vaccine will just be another test since omicron will have moved on the next variant could just as easily slip passed the vaccines. Or even worse become vaccine resistant.

Yup..my Mom was scheduled for her 4th next Thursday...BUT even being in Assisted Living, with stringent protocols, fully vaxxed with Booster...she still got the Omicron virus.

Science says she doesn't need the 4th...but I bet they'll still jab her anyway.

Well I wish her the best Mike for a full recovery.

If the virus keeps getting weaker we only have a few more years till it could be manageable for mostly everyone.

Then it would also be close to the 5 years I planned to end the pandemic lol. It's not rocket science that we could end a global pandemic in a years time. It was actually unrealistic the last big one took 10 years .
With today's technology we would be ok to cut that in half.

Covid will ( and should) be classified as an endemic after this wave. It's idiotic trying to control a Coronavirus. Keep jabbing the vaccine in every fall with the flu shot and let Canadians get back to somewhat of a normal life.

Does she not get a say in that? I would think with 3 shots and covid she has more immunity than most.
Glad to hear she is doing well. No matter what peoples thoughts are on covid, its scary when older people catch it.

Three shots, plus covid would be enough you'd think...but it hasn't swayed the zealots...they just say postpone the next Booster for a month or so...

One of the most ridiculous things I've heard of since this began...get vaccinated AFTER after you've had the actual virus...Haha..

"The national advisory committee and our own Alberta advisory committee have debated this question on numerous occasions and they have landed on the recommendation that someone can consider going for a booster once they are feeling better from their infection."

Yes I don’t think anyone is happy about the ongoing need for boosters. Or how quickly the vaccine effects wane. Hopefully there’s some better options in the works for the not so distant future.
