Putin is a manipulative little man who wants history to remember his name..no matter what the cost. He`s former KGB, and I would say well trained in espionage and propaganda. I wonder how the simple Russian citizen, or comrade feels about going to war to appease the mindset of this dictator. I think he is very dangerous.

Trump and Harper both met with him, Harper said to get out of Ukraine to his face (may look for that video interview at lunch), while Justlied praises tyrants and admires dictatorships... I think all have seen Trudeau saying that enough, even though Libs deny it.

Yes, one or two spy planes roaming around isn't much, Canada has them and the bombers quite often on the west coast * especially but other than the bay of pigs I haven't heard much about invading Cuba. The Ukraine on the other hand is likely at worst to be taken whole or more likely to the Dneiper river and the right Ukraine added to Crimea etc. The warships and talk of bases for nuclear subs in Cuba and Venezuela on the other hand is very reminiscent of the Cuban missile crisis.

It is in the Russian Pravda paper I linked above, along with reference to the sub.

You bet he's dangerous. KGB/NKVD agents are stone cold killers and Putin was General Officer in East Germany when the wall came down and communism started to implode. Putin re-invented himself and here he is today the Russian President. You don't pull that off by being Mr. Nice Guy or the village idiot.

why is everyone so upset at Russia? honest question.. and before you guys roll me please know I am NO fan of Russia... my family came to this country with two suitcases from an eastern-bloc country in the 80's to escape communism because of Russias foreign policy..so I have plenty of reasons to jump on the bandwagon against the Russians....

NATO and the US have been slowly encroaching closer and closer to Russian territory for decades.... the Russians have been saying enough is enough and now we are knocking on their doorstep looking to cozy up to Ukraine..... What would the USA do if Southern Ontario all of a sudden got friendly with Iran, North Korea, China, etc... your damn right theyd be amassing troops in Ohio and Michigan.... give your heads a shake... Obama tried this 6 years ago.. he was playing checkers and Putin chess and he ended up with Crimea...This is all avoidable but the US thrives off conflict and are pushing the Russians, how is that not crystal clear??

    Agreed

i see the Idiot has sent his minister to Ukraine this week with more of our money. I certainly like Canada participating in NATO but advocating for Ukraine’s membership is over the line - I hope our sons are never asked to go there.
