Jordan Peterson: Why I am no longer a tenured professor
A good read for those who follow him.
"The appalling ideology of diversity, inclusion and equity is demolishing education and business"

Very well written.
Love that anecdote about the Bolsheviks. Agreeing with Putin in 2022 -- who would've thought we'd end up here?

Jordan Peterson resigns as a tenured professor..here's why
A few on here are followers of Jordan Peterson's videos and may therefore want to know why he resigned as a Tenured professor.
It's an alarming story...but, as always, sound in his reasoning.
I would seriously reconsider sending a student onto a University campus nowadays ...they sure aren't going to receive the 'best' education they need to succeed in life anymore. Especially if they don't fall into the demographic of BIPOC (black, indigenous and people of colour) .
It's an excellent read... find out what is really going on in our University's admissions dept now.
This is partly because of Diversity, Inclusivity and Equity mandates (my preferred acronym: DIE). These have been imposed universally in academia, despite the fact that university hiring committees had already done everything reasonable for all the years of my career, and then some, to ensure that no qualified “minority” candidates were ever overlooked.
This is one of many issues of appalling ideology currently demolishing the universities and, downstream, the general culture. Not least
because there simply is not enough qualified BIPOC people in the pipeline to meet diversity targets quickly enough (BIPOC: black, indigenous and people of colour, for those of you not in the knowing woke). This has been common knowledge among any remotely truthful academic who has served on a hiring committee for the last three decades. This means we’re out to produce a generation of researchers utterly unqualified for the job.
And this is everywhere — and if you don’t see it, your head is either in the sand or shoved somewhere far more unmentionable. CBS, for example, has literally mandated that every writers’ room be at least 40 per cent BIPOC (in 2021 (50 per cent in 2022).
We are now at the point where race, ethnicity, “gender,” or sexual preference is first, accepted as the fundamental characteristic defining each person (just as the radical leftists were hoping) and second, is now treated as the most important qualification for study, research and employment.

I've followed this guy ever since he started showing up on you tube videos a few years back. His best comment will always be, "Trudeau is a weasel'.

Has too much time on their hands
I honestly more and more think that what some people want is for society to get more corrupt, more unsafe and more run by those with absolute power... the complete opposite of what Jordan Peterson has said benefits a person and society. Listening to his interviews and talks are always interesting even when there are points I think he has wrong occasionally.

This crap has been going on for years and the diversity, crime, immigration issues are now about 50 years passed. The affirmative action mandates now coming to roost in almost every work place. The cat was out of the bag years and years ago and everybody was sleeping except Cops who dealt with all the problems. Now they are even the problem.

So the good Superintendent was giving out the interview questions to black officers applying for promotion.
Now before you get all upset this type of thing has been going on for years, we had nepotism, free masons, Orangemen, ruling the promotional ladder for decades before this.
They did not reform their ways and the government then MANDATED that affirmative action was legislated for hiring, promotion and now we have this bigger mess. I guess two wrong's don't make a right.

It was called Affirmative Action back in the old days....dismal failure, racist and sexist so it was abolished. Woke thinking is trying to raise it from the dead.
What is happening in the University's is that the DIE mandates have diminished the quality of their research...a big issue when your trying to fundraise and produce students to be at the top of their field. Hard to do when the door is closed to academically 'best' due to DIE mandates.
This means we’re out to produce a generation of researchers utterly unqualified for the job. And we’ve seen what that means already in the horrible grievance studies “disciplines.” That, combined with the death of objective testing, has compromised the universities so badly that it can hardly be overstated.
