Conditions on Long Point Inner Bay

How is the ice on the Inner Bay. Is travel by sled good? Is there slush?

According to "Stomp's 6-8" which is an inner bay devoted forum, there are sleds out in some areas of St. Williams and nearby

The ice in Long Point is good. St Williams operators have huts out for rent. Collins Harbour Marina has an ice taxi running. This cold snap will definitely thicken the ice.

Excellent up to date ice fishing info on Stomps Long Point Page, Channel 6 8, Fishing Forum. There is at least three Hut operators on the Northside of the Bay and another out of Old Cut ( Southside) and they are very busy so calling ahead would be a good idea. Last I read nobody's catching any limits of Perch but there has been Pike action. Most guys are fishing in 6 to 8 feet of water with decent clarity. Tuesdays weather is warm and wet so ice conditions will change !
