Sledding to Haliburton forest brookies
The outing, in our mind, was a success. The setting and experience were wonderful. The guide was truly excellent.

Ouch! The guide price is ridiculous for what you're getting! Better to avoid this private resort area and fish in the former Frost Center waters. Excellent splake and brookie fishing for free. Stocking list available from Minden MNR. You just need your own snow machine to access the lakes.

It does say for a total of up to $625 for a maximum of 6, so, with what appears to be lunch included it may be for some who will only do this once or twice in a lifetime. Doesn't seem to be far off from summer charter boat prices.

Considering it cost me $188.00 to fill my half ton with gas yesterday, I don't think the price is that far out of line.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?
