I've seen the fuel truck delivering fuel I imagine it would take awhile to fill all those trucks. It's not like the city didn't know they were coming provisions should've been made. I know there are lots of porta potties set upon the outskirts of town where there are farmers fields plowed to accommodate truckers, I don't think any one anticipated the amount of protestors and the fact that businesses would be closing their doors to them, I'm sure the liaisons are working on it. The money goes through a heavily vetted process of dispersal and any remaining funds go to a veterans charity when and if this is over. This looks likes it's going to be a long haul as the skilled trades are also committing to the cause. As far as democracy goes if you value it you'd better embrace this because by the looks of things this is our last shot at it. I've mentioned Terry in another post since. I've posted this in another thread but will repost it here for your convenience if you'd care to listen to it, this guy addresses a few issues and put's it all into a palatable perspective .I only have a facebook link at the moment I'm waiting for him to upload it to his YouTube.

I dont care if you believe. It happened. If you don't understand why a police officer doesn't arrest people for threats and why women often don't ask for reports to be made you have a very poor understanding of our justice system. Perhaps you believe it works for sex crimes but the sad fact is that it does not. The officer who escorted her to the bus stop offered to make a report. However such reports are virtually useless which is why so many women are raped and murdered each year with impunity.
The literal fact that these morons were allowed to gather and disrupt our city lets you know that democracy as we expirence it is alive and well. In nations with real oppression nthey just roll the tanks in and murder everyone. Don't believe me? Just ask all those university student sthat were at Tiananmen Square. Oh wait you can't because all those protesters where murdered by their government.
Please keep telling me how oppressed we are in this country.

Oh I've been listening to them and paying head to their warnings. I think we all need to be a little more like Gina.

Excellent discussion with no personal attacks gentlemen. Thank you

How sad.

Jan 6th was just a minor incident because not enough people were tuned into the thought that the election would be different if done right - when the big one comes you will see what happens - you got to shutdown the country - some sacrifice will be required

These protesters have to remember there are 6 big Provinces in Canada run by Conservative Governments who imposed some of these mandates they are complaining of. In that respect its a bit unfair to be putting all the blame on Justin Trudeau.
If you believe they have gone down the right road I am sure you all will be vindicated in the next election. I personally believe the vast majority of Canadians are not happy at what they are seeing and will not allow the government to be hijacked.

Joe you do not sound like an American, who would come onto a forum and suggest a shutdown of a country is a bright idea?

Now the freedom fighters are throwing rocks at ambulances and throwing around Asian slurs. Nothing says supporting my rights like abusing paramedics.

I think the pendulum is on the return swing, If I were to estimate from the support given to the convoy I would say that atleast 65% of Canadians are against the mandates. The premier of Saskatchewan is ending the pass and other mandates. Quebec city has asked the truckers to attend there after Ottawa lol. The blame lies with all parties but Justin and his school of Klaus Schuab's Davos alumni cabinet are at the forefront as they are the party in power and are responsible for going along with the Agenda set out in Klaus's book Covid 19 and the Great Reset. I don't think anybody should escape accountability for this including the federal opposition they've all ignored their pledges, oaths, fiduciary duties etc. I was just following orders, I was just doing my job, I was just following the the health officer shouldn't cut it. we all have a moral responsibility to do what is right even if it means not complying with tyrannical laws and mandates just as we all agreed to suspend our rights for two weeks to flatten the curve as we sit here damn near going on three years.
