Media says there are swastika flags and confederate flags being flown, I have not heard from any real person who has actually seen or photographed them.
As to the Terry Fox monument having the flag on it, I am kind of undecided as he was a man who stood for all Canadians and I do believe he would approve of this peaceful protest.
Now for the woman dancing on the Unknown Soldier Monument, that is disgraceful and hopefully social media will be able to identify her. If this government is going to keep with their divisive behavior, then this women is a prime example of someone who could be put on the international stage. If she believes dancing on a public monument is OK, then it should be OK to ID her as well.

The longer this drags on and businesses can't open, kids can't get to school, patients can't access health care and people can't get to work the demands to remove the protestors regardless of method will grow. Ottawa is used to protests but it is not going to tolerate a long term occupation of its streets by thugs and the government is not going to submit to their ludicrous demands.

I have been watching my usual CBC broadcast, CTV ,City Pulse and not one of these are covering anything up, fair reporting all around.

In respect to the demonstration I think the crowd was over all very well behaved to date, but what you have now is probably the hard core
distilled extremist element and what they do and say in the next few days will be critical.

But lets look politically Pierre Poilievre probably the next BEST HOPE for the Conservatives to win an election decided he would double down with the demonstrators. This I believe might have been a strategic misstep, he only won his riding by 10,000 votes in the last election.
If the Liberals, NDP and Green party decides in the next election to strategically vote Pierre could have a real challenge.

If the PPC garner even more support from the Conservative base the left will fill the void.

I am pretty sure folks in Carleton are a little miffed at Pierre be interesting to see what happens.

If the calculation from the right is that we are emboldened by the success of this demonstration and have upper hand, tossing Erin O'Toole who has a moderate position, I believe is very RISKY.

Down playing it as extremists fringe groups , shutting off hwy cams, government pm shunned them called them names not playing the true story.

They don't want to show peaceful protesters just the few bad apples. Some groups even covered the rds with nails to block the truckers.

Sooner or later the government will have to talk to them besides calling them names and disrespecting them.

Social media pulling down post just as fast as the go up.

There is little purpose or benefit to truck drivers occupying Ottawa's downtown core demanding the Governor General and the Senate depose duly elected MPs and take over the government. It can't and won't happen under our system. The protestors will either leave of their own volition or be removed if necessary by force. It is only a matter of time.

Not according to a new Hopkins University study.,the benefits of the original lock down did very little in regarding the mortality rates. It was more dire on the people and economy.

The truckers are speaking for the people they want this to end and the support is unbelievable . Like it or not .

They are not leaving I hear some are heading to Toronto and if they are forced to move they will slow roll around the city of Ottawa and that could be more painful than them just sitting there.

This is all across Canada with rallys that took place al across Canada last weekend.

Might be a million people heading to the capital this weekend.

Questioning those duly elected MP's and holding their feet to the flames is precisely how you do democracy.

Locals who are fed up with the noise should join in an also put some pressure on their leaders to drop the mandates so everyone can go back to normal.

Quebec already dropped the proposed tax on the unjabbed. Ottawa mayor has been calling tow companies to remove the trucks and they are all saying they can't work because they have covid

I'm hearing about and seeing more and more people not wearing masks and more and more businesses defying the mandates.
