Alternatives to Presquile PP
Hey guys, I have hunted Presquile for years and love the park. Since my Lab passed however, it's been hard to hunt the park at times due to wind/water conditions making getting out to the islands tough. Didn't help that last year blind #10 was shut down until November. I hunt the marsh occasionally out of a small boat, but I'm tired of getting lost in the dark or grounding on a sand bar...lol
Seeing as it's a 2 hour drive for me and my sons to get out to the park, it's pretty depressing not be able able to hunt due to water conditions...it happened twice in 2021, can anyone help out a fellow hunter with a tip on a decent waterfowl spot within 30 min or so of the park that I could use as plan B. PM me if that's easier. Thanks for the help and happy hunting.

I usually walk out, pulling my boat with the decoys and gun behind me.
with the recent low water levels last 2 years, its easy to walk on the side of the sand bar to the islands.
I dont hunt the marsh side though, got lost there in an inflatable boat once and ended up in the bay ... some serious currents and waves there lol
I hunted darlington a couple times, but too many rules and only morning hunt allowed inside the bay .. and ppl try to sell u a guided hunt ... not my fav.
following as well.

That's what I used to do. But twice last year there was no way to cross due to the winds, #10 was closed and the shore blinds were not available yet. Just bad luck I guess.
