I thinking our pm is too far disconnected from reality with his woke beliefs.
What will affect federal decisions eventually- is changing in attitudes on provincial levels.
The next weekend will most likely be bigger then previous one.it would be interesting to see the change in tone on next Monday

I’m sorry but I disagree.
I’m very much in favour of freedom, but the way they’re going about it is wrong.
I think that most of the people protesting are politically charged and want political change more than anything else. The provinces have more to do with mandates then the federal government. I’m just not buying the peaceful aspect the protesters are portraying (there’s nothing peaceful about air horns throughout the day) just as I’m not buying the blanket accusations against the protesters being racists, misogynist etc.
They’ve made their point. They have a boat load of money coming their way if they leave now. But what happens if it gets out of control (we know there will be counter protests, we know that emotions are high). There might be a chance that they will break the terms set out by gofundme and lose it all (donations would be refunded).
Most of you know as well as I do that a government cannot bow to protest pressure, regardless of who’s in power. It’s a dangerous proposition to give in to protesters for this government and future ones to come.
The stakes are now uncomfortably high. Yes the world is watching, but I’m ashamed that some believe that’s a good thing. Regardless of political sides, it’s never a good thing for our PM to look poorly, especially when so many countries look up to Canada.
Too bad we all can’t just get along.

There will be a different tone for sure from our government.
Justin actually said that the people voted for this the public interest wanted mandates lol.
Sorry I don't take medical advice based on public interest nor should we be making laws from public opinions. I thought we were following the science not what the people wanted while scared for their life lol. When did the science turn to votes from the public haha what a world.
He forgets he is the minority the majority didn't vote for him.

If you are referring to the various lock downs or masks, those are Provincial, not Federal.
As for Trudeau being the Minority, he’s the Prime Minister, I think you need to accept that and move on while waiting for the next federal election.

What are people to do when they are desperate and are not being heard..
As much as I don't like generalizations, I am pretty confident that majority of protesters didn't chase after folks who volunteered to vaccinate...The situation was the other way around.
and now there is chat about children. Although, is not mandated yet, if no noise is made - the kids requirements will come.
Don't forget the pfizer contact is signed to 2023, so those left over dose will have to "used" somewhere..
As I said from start, I don't believe this protest will achieve instant political change, but for what it's worth it will at least might curb the "mandates enthusiasm" as more and more people waking up the idea they have been fooled by "science" and bad policy

Mandates were on their way out before this protest started. The writing was on the wall. It was because of the ever changing virus and the science behind it that the mandates were becoming redundant. Most other countries that have rescinded their mandates did so with a clear warning that they may be reimplemented if need be. Everyone just needed to chill out and let the wave pass through.
