Here's part of the issue If you disagree with someone else you can now label them racist. In fact Trudeau has done this numerous times. It is a very dangerous slippery slope. Personally I can honestly say that in my opinion Trudeau is probably the most racist person that I have ever seen in government and it is very easy to back that up. But it has also been stated by those on the Left that if you are on the Left nothing can be considered racist against you.

Key word ... ALERT... results virtue signalling but no real attempt to make substantiative change, no real attempt to be fair. The results being ignoring of real issues, selective discrimination and a deliberate attempt to create US vs Them and divide people into categories and groups where discrimination based on race and class is OK based on the "woke" prejudice of the day.
Fuddism and Wokism both show a lack of respect, ethics, empathy and mental integrity and the person in question often suffers..... no enjoys their narcissism and perceived special opinion of themselves.
The big deal is it is discriminatory, racist and delusional and spreads hate based on the "woke" ideals.... essentially a prejudicial mental issue that avoids reality and facts and encourages the " allowed for me but not for thee" as a key corner stone. Think $19 orange juice is horrendous but a $300,000 vacation that included ethics violations is OK IF the offender is the right race or political or social group and you start to get the idea.
So in general a "woke" person will not care about what is right, what is fair, what is ethical and what is true near as much as they will care about being perceived as caring by people that also don't care about the realities and have no concern with what is true or best if it doesn't fit their stance.
