I first heard of this from Ottawa's Police Chief and then his Superintendent that they had "received intelligence" about outside funding but I do not remember specifically them saying American. However with the support Trump came out with I am sure people joined their own dots and the idea that a similar demonstration may take place in Washington around this same time period.
