Cool Valentines Day, What has made your wife happy?

Valentines Day, What has made your wife happy?

    Chocolate ... NOPE!
    Flowers .... yes
Jewellery ... a bit... then she puts it in a drawer and it collects dust for decades.

The big success from Christmas and in her own words "best gift ever" has been...

YEP, all week she has been using it, work hours end and after supper or at lunch when I ask to help I get the "I don't need your help" and hear it running a bit later. Suggestions, double checking measurements, removing dry wall or popcorn ceiling and clean up and moving the boards up or down the stairs and assembly yes, but "I can do it" and "best present ever" have put a real smile on her face since Christmas.

SO... for the younger guys, think out of the box... or how to make the box in my case.

I'll pass on that. Best Valentine present for me is still having my husband at my side after 50 years.

We don't do flowers but generally go out to to a restaurant for dinner or a lunch and have our own shopping day . She picks out what she wants I usually get a bunch of fishing stuff.

It's a Winn Winn I get fishing stuff I use and we spend the day together without buying into the over priced flowers .

With mandates in place we will not be eating in and I was just at cabelelas last week few hundred bucks later should I buy more fishing supplies probably lol.

Whenever I leave the house and head up to the camp for 3 or 4 days as long as I take the dogs with me. I keep telling her that one of these days I'm just going to stay up there. She said just let me know when that is and I'll help you pack....

I’ll usually cook or bbq a nice meal. The jewelry/chocolate/flowers phase disappeared pretty quickly. Now she just wants some quiet time.
