Has too much time on their hands
US is watching - comparisons to Romania and Venezuela, truck and protests around the world, mandates ending in many other countries. 4 Liberal MPs have criticized the govt and if any MP backs this totalitarian action they need to be remember when the non-confidence vote comes this year. This really reminds me of the Emergencies Act used like this reminds me of the 1933 Enabling Act.
Australian news calls him 'Tyrant Trudeau'
All crowd funding and cryptocurrency put under govt control?
and India "suspending democracy and freedoms", she does get one thing wrong, they are anti-MANDATES.

To freeze the money suspended bank accounts and make it a crime for anyone who donates. Suspended the corporate account if they own their own business and suspend their truck insurance.
Suspend anyone accounts if they feel they are supporting the freedom convoy.

Maybe in the short term, but,if Canadians actually research the far reaching authority granted the government by the Emergency Measures Act,if that dioesn't scare the livin' beejeebers out of even the most sychophantic liberal supporter, then, there's literally no hope left for Canada and Canadians with laws like this in the hands of avowed communist sympathizers already in government. It's akin to handing a loaded machine gun to a psychopath and telling him it's OK to only fire a couple of rounds. For the uninitiated, this act effectively suspends every aspect of the Charter and The Bill of Rights for as long as Trudeau deems necessary. That means no civil rights if one is arrested,no right to counsel,no right to a phone call,no right to due process and no right to bail. It also means that any private property owned by the accused can be seized and forfeit to the Crown with no recourse. That includes real estate, bank funds and assets. It also means that all people you've associated with can be deemed hostile, arrested and jailed, too,by guilt by association. Sounds great doesn't it if you're a good little (insert prevailing political party here) member. One must always remember, though, that no matter how long it takes, sooner or later that government will collapse. Now,you must ask yourself if your worst fears are confirmed and the government you detest the most is suddenly elected,do you really want them to have the same power over YOU?

Ok i usually don’t weigh in on these things but am left with a question.
What if he invokes this act, giving him immediate powers that he doesn’t have to seize funds. But he has a problem, he has to table the evidence for declaring the emergency to parliment within 7 days of declaring that emergency. But parliment is on break for 1 week starting friday. So if he doesn’t present the evidence for declaring the emergency before break he has 2 weeks to be a dictator. Now, in that time he declares the emergency over, what happens?

Either Parliament must be recalled or he can simply wait until it comes back and leave everything in place until that time. Can we imagine the damage Liberal bureaucrats can do in that time frame?
