Oops
Got a chance to head out this morning for a fish left a bit later than I wanted to. Got to the parking spot started to suit up took the sleigh out from the trunk grabbed my bag with my rods and thought. Wow I really came light today as I'm grabbing my bag I said to myself I only brought my bag and finder lol.
That was the moment I realized I didn't get the auger lol. Oops pack up and drive back home. Almost didn't go but the wind was calm..
Took my new bump board out as I am in the lake simcoe championship tournament with jump start by Canadian tire. Any other members in this event? It's a month long and multi species brought the board but didn't get anything to measure lol. Big skunk for the 2.5 hours I tried lol.
Oh well I have a few hours to try another area today I was for Lakers and whitties. Tomorrow I think I will try the jumbo for an hour then 2 hour on the whitties and Lakers again. My main goal is a laker last year I lost the only one I hooked this season I got 2 so far hoping to get another nice one this season.
Hopefully tomorrow I remember the auger
Good luck everyone.

ohhhh dont you hate those days ! Done that many times. luckily lst time I left my auger at home, ppl around were cool enough to let me borrow theirs.
I usually stop catching large salmon the day lake ontario derby starts ... it is happening too often ... so no derby for me this year.
been a bad year for me for whitefish ... have watched many swim by, but 0 iced so far this winter. im on the north side, by big bay point.

Was only a 40 minute delay as the traffic was slow lol.
The tournament started Friday Thursday was my only available day and got this beauty almost 3 ft long at 35 inches also got a few bigger whitties.
As of this morning with leader was at 38.5 inches with a whittie and perch.
Last year I lost my only 2 Lakers I hooked praying for one more I think it will be hardest fish for me . Some years I connect with one every few trips other years not so much as I'm after the whitties.
