If there was to be a civil war it would be started from the right the evidence of that is before your eyes.
if that ever happens - it does not matter who started this.. everybody suffers
Reply. Well the name calling always comes from the right after they have lost successive elections and the insurrections come from the right and now we have full blown political support for this type of nonsense from the right.
Oh really??? Left has never came up with any derogatory terms, it must be my imagination playing with me..
Reply. Trudeau was not going to address a rabble who had no leadership and dozens of unrelated grievances he could not address.
There was a hard core element here and at similar occupations that were hell bent on conflict, road closures and closure of the economy, nothing would have deterred them period.
Well, this goes to show how disconnected this guy is from general population.
Truckers protest is a symptom of a much larger issue - discontent of mandates/policies within the public (both vaxx and unvaxx).
Conservatives caught wind of this quickly and decided to capitalize on it..
I doubt it would have helped. I believe they didn’t just want mandates dropped, they also wanted Trudeau gone.
A peaceful resolution (presented plan/promise whatever) would calm down "moderate protesters" and their supporters at home and single out the crazies.
This would reasonably give the fed government justification to go ape sh.t on them.
but alas we have what we have.. - suppression of the opposing views by force with emergencies act..
Not only this make a laughing stock of jt on world arena, it does not solve anything in long term - because the root cause of this protest is NOT being addressed so the resentment within those "moderates" keeps growing until it spills out again...

live feed from Eric, the trucker that is in the Safe Load truck infront of the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. He’s leaving, and he said he would be there until the end. He lost his insurance about a week ago and was fired. Now his boss said that the government is threatening to freeze the company accounts and cancel the company insurance, leaving 55 drivers out of work if he doesn’t leave now.

Wow. It's a fine line we are walking here.

The risks are known. I’m not saying the decision is easy for most, but it’s better to be free to fight another day, than the alternative.

Yep. Shutdown the whole company, put bunch of completely unrelated people out of work because of one guy with opposing views.
Fair process all the way. Smells like dictatorship yet ? [emoji23][emoji23]

Sounds like the company didn't mind him there . Now the entire company can loose out. It wouldn't be the first company to want the mandates ended.
Cbc and government now think that if you want to fight for freedom you are far right lol.
What a joke .
Even Ford said today the convoy has divided the people and families including his own they are from the mandates and the government push then blaim the unvaccinated for everything. Like they always did..they always blamed someone for some then the never ending excuses.
