Well this is unfolding pretty much like the US called it. Now what? Are we headed for a major conflict or is this another crimea?

There'll be lots of rhetoric and threats,but,in reality,NATO will not go to war over The Ukraine because technically,it's not a member. Economic sanctions will be the only way the west can contain Putin and even with them,the effects will be more symbolic than anything else. The line in the sand will be Poland's eastern border. Today,the Chinese sent recon flights over Taiwan air space to gauge response. If no appreciable action ensues over Ukraine,China will likely see that as a weakness in US resolve and launch an invasion to re-take what they believe is their sovereign territory. They won't need to amass an invasion force with logistics,either. All the gear is already there.

Unfortunatelly,due of the fact that many are born here ,they are deprived from news from other sources,on mother tongues of other nations.
Therefore- by default ,many are to see the world the way world is presented to us........and we know all the issues with that.

I agree with your post. If Russia invades a NATO country, then something might happen. I can clearly see that China will take Taiwan in the very near future. I don’t think that the American public has the stomach to go to war with an well-armed force.
