    I use Badger Wood Oil on my paddles and canoe gunnels. Good stuff.

    Ballistol is another good choice for knife handles and gun stocks. Birchwood Casey Tru oil is very good and leaves a hard finish but is more time consuming and needs some sanding between coats.
