The thought of getting a 700 pound machine stuck makes me want to cry. You should get a winch kit for the front of that piggy. I had one on a Viking 540 and it substantially reduced the profanity, sprains, slipped discs, and my overall blood pressure. If you had been driving a 1971 Elan single you could have lifted it out with one hand, plus you would have scored a pile of super ultra hot chicks when they saw you driving that beauty down the lake.

OMG - 35km run on an old Elan with broken bogies and old weak springs. You would have been walking like you s*&t yourself after that ride. You would have needed that whole bottle of alcohol!

I really enjoyed the read and good for you to be able to help a fellow angler like you did. I remember reading and enjoying your 'last years' trip with your son. I like your set up too. Thank you for posting.
