Prepping the recurve for spring gobbler.
I finally managed to land a couple decent turkey hunting spots over 2021 for the first time and I'm considering taking my first trad bow tom.
My groups have been closing up and my QAD exodus broadheads are landing right next to my target points with my self-built arrows. Still over a month left so I'm just working on improving my cold shot. This picture is at 20 yards.

I'll most likely be just setting up a Jake decoy at 15 yards from my blind which is the range I'd like them to be at, but I am prepared for a 20 yard shot.
The bow setup I'll be using is a 40lb black hunter recurve using QAD exodus broadheads on a 565gr arrow setup.

I am getting my beneli tapped though just in case the Toms give me enough grief lol.

Looks like your groups are getting tighter. Keep in mind its a tennis ball size group you need to hit consistently. Turkey's are tough birds and vitals are small. If your planning on broadside shots make sure your grouping is tennis ball size otherwise that bird is taking off. Good luck I hope you get one.

Groupings are tennisball sized out to 20 yards and my broadheads are flying with my target points. Just working on making sure my cold shot is on point and eliminating fliers.
Unfortunately however my ground blind is not practically sized for my bow. So looks like I'll have to brush my setup ahead of time with some camo netting.
