Kind of hard to target them in simcoe if they don't even have an open season for them. I figure they have a small home range and there aren't very many of them. I see people catching them in the winter.

Thanks for posting the regs. I thought they were protected. Most of the time I don't even see them mention when reading about fish in simcoe. It wasn't to long ago you couldn't keep a herring. Heck of a lot more herring than walleye.
