Ice-out predictions for Haliburton?
Hey folks,
I'm assuming there's still quite a lot of ice on the lakes up in Haliburton... with milder weather FINALLY here, when do you think ice-out will happen on most smaller and mid-sized lakes?
Cheers

Well if today is any indication there's open water half way up the kake on Scugog. I would think around the end of the month up in the Haliburton area...

As of this morning, the ice is completely out on Scugog. Anyone heading out this weekend just be careful and on the lookout for particialy submerged logs or floating debree..

I still had a bit of ice at 7:30am this morning but not much and I'm sure I could find a way through it or around it

Depending on the lake, it's usually April 20 - May 5 till ice is in Dorset - Haliburton - Minden area for the larger lakes.
