A shame I didn’t have another hunter in the blind with me.

Let them birds separate man, they weren’t going anywhere!

That’s a good way to wind up with two birds in the bag by accident, or unintentionally touch one up with a few pellets.

That's always good advice however separation is a relative term. Birds 10 yards out requires less separation than birds 50 yards out. This is where knowing your gun and the shot pattern it throws is important. Sure the camera perspective makes 'em look closer than they are.

The camera was at the right side of the blind and I was at the left side. From my view there was lots of space between them and no danger of hitting both birds. In 15 years of shooting turkeys, I have never come close to hitting two with one shot. Also, these birds were at 20 yards.
I would suggest that you consider all the facts prior to posting such a response.

Unfortunately this is the beauty (or curse) of the internet. The facts that were available in the video showed that the birds were pretty close together. If you decide to post something, you're always going to be open to scrutiny. My post didn't have anything to do with your abilities or experience John.

I think it's healthy to have discussions such as these. JMatthews knows the bias of the camera set-up and Sprite's asking for an ethical shot. I think it's likewise important how we conduct ourselves when interacting with our fellow Forum members, to ensure everyone is comfortable sharing their experiences.
