Seems real early. I Agree, Those thermacells are awesome. I never would have believed how well they work with all the marketing BS that the companies spread, but they really work well. I even used mine deer hunting last year. The deer dont seem to mind them either.

They are awesome, and the company gives fantastic customer support as well! The first year I had one I never took the fuel cartridge out, and when I went to use it the next season it wouldn't ignite. The fuel had clogged the injector nozzle. Followed the website directions, but couldn't get it to ignite. Called the US company, and the rep said “Oh sorry you are having that problem…we will send you a new one!” I asked if they wanted me to send the old one back, and he said Don't bother. New one came about 10 days later.
just ALWAYS take your fuel cartridge out at the end of the day.

A followup story… 2 years later my 14 yr old grandson dropped it while we were walking from one turkey blind to another spot on a late spring hunt. Looked for over 1/2 hour, but never found it in the weeds. The next March, while out rebuilding my brush blinds I found it…full of guck and an ant colony! Dumped out the crap and ants, took it home, washed it all out, let it dry for 2 days, and it fired right up! Been working fine ever since.
I always use it for late spring turkey hunts and early fall deer hunts.

genec, I didn't know you were supposed to take the cylinder out, must be in the instructions that I never read I guess. I have bought 3 and have had them for years. they are one of those thinks were you say never leave home without it. I start bringing it after I see the first bitter. Go to a summer party we all sit around the fire at night for a couple nights. we are all hunters so we bring cells along and put under our chairs. also in the duck blind in the early season.
