Had a pretty good morning in my blind today. Got a couple of gobblers going this morning then this ornery hen came into my setup on several different occasions to pick a fight with me and my decoys. I can honestly say I have never heard a hen make the sounds she did. What a great experience, made it worth the trip.
I did see one of the biggest Tom's I have ever laid eyes on. Called him into about 75 yards but the harem of hens he had with him kept him away from my offering. I am hoping to get a shot at him because I have to measure that fan, it was enormous. Hope you enjoy the video, I just used my cell phone so I apologize for the quality.

You'd think with all that natural calling the rest should follow. Might want to look into a pot call or diaphram for close in work. The box is good for distance the others in my opinion give softer more inticing calls close in.

That wasn't a box call, it was a strange mouth call my wife gave me for Christmas, I have never seen them before so I thought I would try them out. I can't stomach diaphram calls as they make me gag. These are an external mouth call you blow through. They seemed to respond well to it, just gotta master it.
