Wondering how everyone is doing. Anyone been out and around the North Bay area? Usually there's a thread here by now. Four Mile Ck is a sanctuary.

I guess they’re cleaning out their spots first before telling you! haha
    Joking.
Sorry, can’t help you. Only went for smelt once in Thunder Bay. Was a great party.
I do miss the East Coast old man that use to sell salt water smelt. Man those were good.

I miss the good old days. We used to smelt in Atherley on Lake Simcoe. I haven't had a feed of smelts for years. I can remember sitting at my grandmother's kitchen table cleaning for hours. I smile now, as that is now my kitchen table.
A bad day hunting is still better than a good day at work!

I too remember those days but we had to clean them in the back yard lit by a Coleman lantern. No way my mother was going to let us do it in the kitchen.

    LOL
Now a days getting information on a smelt run is like trying to get a speckled trout location.

I too remember those days. Dragging in nets of smelt on the Port Stanley beach. Sitting around a campfire. Those were the gold old days.
