    Default Moose shed

Found three Moose shed today all in tip top shape!
Seen a Bull Moose and tonnes of Grouse. Should be another great year.
    Finally open water.
+27 and 4 Forest fires started yesterday, I believe two are out and 2 are out of control. Hwy 560 is closed.
    Be careful out there.
    Great day.

thats amazing and definetely on my bucket list... how many hours of walking per shed that you find would you say you walk? seems like a hard thing to find.
Also - do youhave any tips to find them? found mostly near swamps, on high ground points off swamps, etc... its something thats on my bucket list to try.. I just cant afford the gas to drive to where the moose are to do it these days HAHA

I can’t afford it either but luckily I work in the bush.
I know this area well and know where the Moose yard up.
I find sheds in old cut overs where’s there’s lots of browse close to cover where they can go in standing timber in bad weather.
I don’t really walk to find them but just drive to areas I need to check out and find them laying on the road or side of road.
I’ve found them also in old grown in roads where I’ve had to ATV or walk in.
Some I’ve left behind because it’s just too much work to carry out while I’m working.
The better spots are always on high ground where there’s rolling and hilly ground with lots of brush.
You usually have a few weeks after snow is out and before the long weekend in May where everyone is going to their fishing spots.
You want to get them before the critters get at them.
Good luck if you do manage to go out. Best make a fishing trip then look for them at the same time.
