Was a beautiful evening and decided to hop on the bike and go for a ride. Was heading north on Hwy 12 and saw a pair of geese with their clutch of goslings.. Must have been at least 10 little ones. Nice to see and bet she had to sit through some cold and wet temps prior to them hatching out...

Our nesting pair (that have come here for the past few years to claim our ponds for themselves), presented four goslings last week. Don't like the mess they make of the lawn but I enjoy watching them grow through all the stages.

    Hello Bo D,

We have seen plenty of the little "rascals" down here at Long Point for the last few weeks ... they are now starting to feed in our backyards. That is not much of a problem now but they will soon be larger and "dumping" profusely over our lawns. Oh well ... such is life at Long Point.
