Makes You Sick
https://www.foxnews.com/us/texas-sch...lice-go-inside - when you read this it makes you sick - the cops stay outside while the killer is inside killing kids - goes to show you that you can't depend on the cops - you got to be prepared to take care of yourself - no matter what you think about guns if some people in that school had guns so many kids would not have been killed - what is the matter with people can't they realize that the only way to stop of bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun - dam liberals just can't admit that their solution to restrict good people from having guns just doesn't work -

I think that might be slightly over simplified Joepa. A good guy with a gun might work and it might not. You still need the good guy to have the right mind set and be ready. Aren’t the cops supposed to be the good guys? I’m not sure if the answer is more guns or less guns, but sitting around and squabbling about it doesn’t solve anything. Officials need to, at the very least, pick a direction of action and make adjustments on the fly. Inaction or overreaction won’t do, just start with action.

Emotions are running high in the fallout of this tragic event, but I will say, it's unsettling to me to think that law enforcement waited outside for such a prolonged period of time before going in. If this is true, their inaction, perhaps attributed to the death of many children? The officers who made the decision to wait, will have to carry that burden for a long time.

So far many blunders are surfacing.
The school doors were left open.
The armed guard was not on duty to confront the scum bag.
The LEO's didn't take control of the situation in a timely manner.
I just hope the lessons learned here will evoke a positive change in School security because sooner or later someone will try it again.

Those officers should have to go back and be re-trained and maybe lay off the trigger finger a bit.

What was the suspect thinking? Pacing with something that could pass as an assault weapon in front of a school in the wake of what happened in Texas? How unfortunate.

Gilroy - shooting a guy because he is carrying a pellet gun is murder - what crime did he commit - how about shooting a guy because he is carrying a knife - they could at least have told the guy to drop the gun and determine what was going on - too many cops have a itchy trigger finger - I'm glad I don't live up there where the cops can just kill you for doing nothing wrong - must admit that maybe walking around a school with any fire arm at this time isn't a smart thing to do - but if we start shooting people because they are dumb we would lose half the population of the country -
